Neil R. Ullman

Neil is an engineer, statistician, and educator. He was a founding member of the faculty at two community colleges in New Jersey in the 1960’s, and taught engineering, mathematics, and computer subjects for about 35 years. He continues to work as a consultant in quality and statistics and currently is an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department.

He wrote two statistics textbooks in the 1970’s and has been working on several other related books. This is his first adventure in doing a children’s book and in attempting to do illustrations.

He resides in New Jersey with his wife Gail (who unfortunately has Alzheimer’s). They have two children, Jay and Jonathan. The stars of this book, Aaron and Sage, belong to Jonathan and Joanne Ullman and the boys have a younger sister Mali who will hopefully appear in a future sequel.
